SCHEDULES OF ENTRY TO MACHU PICCHU
MACHU PICCHU 2020 The Ministry of Foreign trade and Tourism – Ministerio de comercio exterior y turismo (Mincetur);
confirmed that from january 1,2019. It ordered the entry of tourists to the inca citadel of Machu picchu in three schedules.
The new model of tourist management of the sanctuary includes the increase to 3 hours of entry in ranges that go from 6:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m; two hours less than the usual schedule in which the visits were extended until 5:00 pm.
So the visit times to Machu Picchu 2019 from january will be the following:
- 1 Turn from 6:00 a.m to 9:00 a.m.(with three shift shifts every hour 6, 7 and 8 a.m)
- 2 Range schedules from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m (schedules of 9, 10 and 11 a.m)
- 3 Range from 12:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m (hour of 12, 1 and 2 hours) plus, the entry will be made prior to reservation.
Another detail is that the entrance of the citadel will be 600 people per hour from 6:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m and the visit will last about 4 hours maximum. This with the objective of controlling the pressure, regulate and dose the tourist flow.
Also; with the objective of dissipating the high temporary concentration of visitors in the period from 8:00 a.m to 11:00 am.
