Perú is basically free admission. Like most countries in south America, a tourist visa is not required to enter Peru. the maximun length of stay granted by the authorities is 183 days ( it cannot be extendend). The sister countries of south america such as Argentina, Brasil, Paraguay, Uruguay, ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, Venezuela and Chile. These countries can enter with their identity document.

If you are about to visit MACHU PICCHU or INCA TRAIL, you will necessarily have to use the passport or identity document in case of south american, updated not expired to be able to acquire or reserve the entrance ticket to said citadel as well for the train.
